“Yes, gentleman what is it?”

“Madam I have a problem and I need help.”

“Please go on.”

My heart started pounding, my first thought was that someone was hurt, and the grave look on the faces of the men fed truth to my conclusion.

“Err, I can see you are going to work but I need a cook and I would like you to go and drop your bag in the office and come and cook for me.”

The other workers burst out laughing. The blood literally drained from my face, I was mortified and felt faint.

I immediately recognised it for what it was. I was being heckled.
